Founder Product Partner

I help founders figure out what to build
and get it into customers’ hands.

I work alongside founders and their teams to question assumptions, make the hard product calls, and turn ideas into something real.

Founders bring me in when
There’s an idea, but it’s unclear what to build first.
You’ve shipped, but the product isn’t getting traction.
The team can build, but lacks product direction.
You can’t afford to spend another six months building the wrong thing.
How I work

I do:

  Work alongside the founder.
  Get close to customers.
  Challenge assumptions and decisions.
  Work directly with the team.
  Write, prototype, review, unblock.
Stick around for the build, launch, and what comes after.

I don’t:

  Replace the founder.
  Replace your product team.
  Become the person running Jira.
  Run your standups and ceremonies.
  Add another layer of management.
  Deliver a roadmap and disappear.

I don’t take over your team. I get my hands dirty and do what the product needs.

Why I build

I’ve spent 20 years building products inside startups. I’m happiest close to the founder, the customers, and the people building the thing.

FAQ
What's the difference between this and hiring a fractional CPO?

A fractional CPO helps run your product organization. I come in to solve a specific product problem and work with the team until we’ve made real progress.

Is this daily availability?

Not as a fixed daily block. I commit 10 to 15 hours a week, and we use them wherever the product needs attention.

Do you just give strategic advice, or do you actually execute?

Both. My hours split between deciding what to build and helping build it. Writing specs, reviewing work, unblocking engineering, talking to users. If you only need a strategist, I'm probably not the cheapest option. If you need someone who thinks and ships, that's the fit.

How fast can we start?

Within days of the discovery call, not months.

Do you work with founders from technical and nontechnical backgrounds?

Both. With nontechnical founders, I help turn product decisions into something design and engineering can act on.

What feels stuck?
No pitch. Tell me about the product and the decision in front of you.
